An Online Portfolio. An Art Project. A Self-Portrait. A World Exploration. An invitation to wander.
As every human beings (and other beings) we are. An attempt to define ourselves with more details is often incomplete and thus not fully transcribing the subtleties of reality. I would even say that the deepest beauty of the world and its beings resides in the impossibility to sum them up into words. That is maybe why I love haikus so much. The essence of haikus lies in the vibration and texture of the unsaid between the lines. It implies an active use of the reader’s own senses and experiences. Listening to the silence of nature, touching the emptiness of a room, tasting the atmosphere of a café…and suddenly you become intimate with the infinite beauty of the here and now.
In the here and now, we breathe, we feel, we live, we evolve, we grow. Through each decision we take, action we make, breath we inhale, food we eat, we create again and again who we are now. And only then we shape meaning to our existence and write the story of our journey by making sense of it all.
We are an infinite patchwork of potentialities, experiences, and passions. How to sum it all up? How to answer to a simple: “Who are you?”.
Who am I? This is such an overwhelming, and yet appealing, question. It opens up a huge field of reflections about the universe we live in. Because the “I” do not exist without or beyond the Universe. The interaction is such that defining the former means defining the later. And indeed, the more I discover pieces of my puzzled-self, the more I understand my environment. The more I see beauty in the everyday, the more I see how everything is connected. The more I deepen my knowledge on what it means to be human, the more I feel an urge to unleash my creativity as well as to surrender to the flow of life.
So I intend to uncover it all through the act of composing a self/urniverse-portrait - a portrait made of stories, thoughts, dreams, learnings, and projects. I will focus on what I love and what I am curious about, such as life, people, nature, design, architecture, co-creation, learning-by-doing, handcrafts, playfulness, resilience, harmony, taoism, aikido… And maybe, in the space between these elements, the sense of who I am will emerge together with pieces of the world I experience.
You can call this a portfolio, a logbook, an inventory or a blog about life, being human, being humane and co-creating this world together and in symbiosis with life itself.
To former, present and future fellow investigators, here is a personal and honest contribution to the realm of life exploration.
