Hello!
I am Anaïs. I am in this world to enhance and give its place back to nature and imagination in our human habitats. It implies to shape new ways of living in harmony with all the living beings surrounding us through care, play and simplicity, together with everyone willing to join this wonderful collective adventure.
I use a mix of knowledge, experience and intuition to envision possible, joyful, and simple paths towards resilience at every scale from the local to the global.
I put in service to the open and welcoming process my practical experience in co-creative strategies and tools, such as explorative walks, exhibitions of portraits and stories, prototyping workshops, games and sharing festivals. These are playful ways to experiment and learn from each other in the on-going deep transformation of our societies.
I contribute with my holistic expertise, as an engineer-architect, landscape architect and urban designer, with a special interest in bioclimatic design, to architectural and urban retrofitting projects that are aligned with my core mission - giving a caring hand to nature to spread its magic and abundance.
I provide services as Sustainable Building Consultant, Co-Creative Process Facilitator, and Intuitive Coach for communities, public institutions and private organisations willing to grow roots of joyful resilience.
My little story
I feel like a child of the Universe, but of course, I was born somewhere and my story have shaped the woman I became in so many ways.
Raised in Paris with extended holidays in the countryside, I was lucky to experience the joy of nature as well as inspiring architectural environments of a historical walkable city. I grew up surrounded by beautiful books and immersed into human sciences from cognitive and art therapy, neuroscience and spirituality via my parents, pioneers in the field of self-development in France. In one way or another, that has sown my habit of constantly analysing and learning from my own experience and the meaning of life through deep introspection. And thus, I developed an empathic understanding of human beings.
With the idea of contributing in building beautiful sustainable cities, I chose to become an Engineer-Architect. During my master education, I grabbed twice the opportunity to study abroad: in Melbourne, Australia, and in Trondheim, Norway. These experiences led me to Denmark, where I completed a Master Landscape Architecture and Urban Design at the University of Copenhagen.
In 2012 I founded Creative Roots: Collective Urbanism, an association of enthusiast urbanists willing to learn by doing how to co-create the city through hands-on placemaking, community building, exhibitions, workshops and living labs. From there, emerged Creative Roots Studio specialised in urban transformation. After years of intense “Open Lab Café” projects in France and in Denmark, I burned out and closed everything down in 2017.
Since then started a (slower) new adventure, a learning journey back to the wild, an introspection toward self-discovery, healing, and the integration of intuition, serendipity and love in everyday action.
I moved out of the city with my Danish man to our new (but very old) house "Skovhuset”, a half-timbered house from 1777 located at the edge of the forest by the sea. When I am not looking for ways to live in joy and harmony with nature and to inspire change through creative workshops and joint projects, I renovate the house or learn to grow plants and vegetables.
